Wedding Bells Are Ringing at &Pizza as Couples Say ‘Pi Do’ on March 14

Getting married on Pi Day might sound like a nerdy affair, but if the math adds up, why not say “Pi Do” at your favorite pizzeria?

East Coast chain &pizza will host a free nuptial and vow renewal ceremony for two couples on Friday, March 14, with founder Michael Lastoria presiding over the ceremony. And it won’t be the first time—Lastoria occasionally helped lovebirds tie the knot during his tenure as &pizza’s CEO, so he knows the rites better than the average pizza guy. In fact, Pi Day weddings have been a tradition—described as a “cherished celebration of love, inclusion and unity”—at the brand since 2016.

The ceremony will take place at The Hive Rooftop at Hotel Hive in Washington, D.C., transforming the space into an intimate wedding venue. &pizza is pulling out all the stops, from the décor, dessert, music and photography to catering with all-you-can-eat pizza for each couple:

Danielle & Calvin first said ‘Pi Do’ five years ago on Pi Day at &pizza’s Astor Place location in New York City. Now, they’re renewing their vows—this time with matching & tattoos to show their love (for each other and pizza).

Alyssa & William met in architecture school and bonded over their picky topping choices. &pizza became their perfect date night spot, where they could share a meal without compromise.

“At &pizza, we go all in—on flavor, on culture and on commitment,” said Mike Burns, CEO of &pizza. “Pi Day isn’t just about math; it’s about making bold commitments, whether to your partner or your favorite pizza. We’re here to turn up the volume on love, throw out the rulebook and give these couples a wedding that’s anything but ordinary. They’ll say ‘Pi Do’ and celebrate the only way that makes sense—with pizza, knots and zero regrets.”

For those not getting hitched, &pizza is also honoring the mathematical constant by offering all five of its Knot varieties for only $3.14 at every location.

Founded in 2012, &pizza has locations across the East Coast in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia. Proud to differentiate itself, &pizza says it’s “doing more” for its workers by “providing a livable wage, a socially conscious vision and real action to help advance real social progress.”
